We all have those times in our lives when we look at ourselves and see all the “not enough” moments. Take the time to see the “enough” moments in your everyday lives. You can find personal joy every single day. Some days will be SO much harder. You may have to really dig deep inside to find something that will bring you joy. Some days are going to be long and hard and mundane.
If you do all you can to see that you’re making an effort, and find at least one good thing you did, you will begin to see the good you are trying to do. Did you woke up on time? Maybe you read with your children? The boss praised you? Find something! Anything that has been a light in your day and keep that in your heart.
Those little light moments are what you can collect to remind yourself as often as you may need that you are wonderful.
Seek to see those light moments in others. Let them know. I believe that as we help others find their light, they will begin to see the good in what they are doing. There is enough tearing down, enough gossip, enough meanness. We need more praise, kindness, love, listening, and love. Learning to see the good in others and in ourselves is how you’ll learn to say, “Today I am Enough.”
