Amy’s Story

Amy is sharing her story of motherhood with us today. She starts off by letting us know about a time where she suddenly became so overwhelmed that the usual hustle and bustle of her life was not possible. Amy recognized this, and reached out to her mom and husband. She started therapy and found out that she is a Highly Sensitive Person.

During therapy Amy learned about the middle mind, logical mind, and the emotional mind. She teaches us about these three mind frames and how they effect us as mothers and how we can use them as tools for our selves and for our childre.

Amy dives deeper into teaching us about taking advantage and seeing “matchstick moments”. She tells us how to appreciate each day as a gift. We also learn from Amy that comparison (or observation) when done in the right mind is not a bad thing. When we observe and see how someone is teaching or acting or what they are doing, and decide if that is something we want to add to our lives, or not. We can better ourselves by learning from others.

May sure to check on Amy on Hi Five Live, and so many others that contribute to the Hi Five Live team.
