Life Lessons from Terminal Cancer | Evelyn Nelson

lessons from cancer Evelyn is sharing her journey with breast cancer. It’s been about 18 months since she was first diagnosed, and it’s been quite the process.

Things started off just great, and a few days after her first chemo treatment, things took a sudden turn. Evelyn became septic, and then went into a coma. She went into cardiac arrest, and had a near death experience she shares in the Podcast. After several weeks in a coma, even talks about the journey to learn to walk, talk, and other basics again.

Soon she started chemo again, and was terrified. Four rounds of chemo would be done. However, in the end, the cancer spread to stage 4, and there became nothing more the doctors could do. Evelyn and her husband decided together that they would rather be together as a family as often as possible rather than have Evelyn going through treatments hoping to prolong her life a little bit longer than she may get otherwise.

Evelyn radiates peace, and joy, and love. She is grateful for all she has in her life, and that she can share the lessons she has learned from all she has been through.
